Holiday Crunch

GAHHH!

In typical me fashion, I’ve left most of my christmas shopping to the last minute. This past weekend I got about half of it done. This coming weekend I hope to get the other half done. Ideally, I would have finished all of my shopping by now, but I’m failing in the “gift ideas” department this year. I have no idea what to get my mother (50’s), brother (25) or sister (21) …suggestions welcome!

This year is also a bit different in that I have a lady friend I’m buying stuff for (”what, you’re not gay?” yes, funny). Anyways, it’s been fun trying to find a nice gift for her, but also rather difficult. Things are fairly new between us, so my ability to buy her gifts is limited. In other words, I know her pretty well, but maybe not well enough yet to get that perfect gift. We’ll see… I think I did a good job, but won’t ultimately know until she visits for New Year’s. Although, I envision the exchange going something like this…

  • Her: “What is this?”
  • Me: “You don’t like it?”
  • Her: “It’s …well …I guess it’s the thought that counts, right?”
  • Me: “*cries*”

I’m sure she’ll think otherwise, it’s the thought that counts isn’t it? Good luck :)

Should have got her what every woman wants: personalized stationary.
