CD Review: Muse – Absolution
Joshua Lane / / No CommentsDo you ever get stuck in a rut where you’re just not happy with the music that’s on the radio and wish you could find something spectacular to listen to. Well, that’s been me for the past few weeks.

However, I got lucky and picked up the newest CD from the band, Muse. The disc is called “Absolution” and I am in alt-british-rock heaven! If you’re a fan of Radiohead, then you pretty much know what I’m talking about. Both singer’s voices even sound similar. On to the songs…
My all-time favorite track on this album is #2, Apocalypse Please. It’s epic, grand, moving, gorgeous, SPLENDIFEROUS EVEN! It’s just filled with energy and magic. Did I mention I liked the song? Anyways, on to the other bits of goodness. Track 8, Hysteria, and track 9, Blackout are also pure brilliance. Hysteria is a wonderfully energetic and pure rock track where the band just seems to cut loose. Immediately following, however, is Blackout which is a soft and beautiful ballad. Let me also briefly mention Track 5, Stockholm Syndrome. It’s got this incredible piano part and chorus that has been stuck in my head for days. Of course, all of the other tracks on the album are simply spectacular as well.
