SXSW 2006 – Day 3

  • 10:00AM Cluetrain: Seven Years Later
Due to the previous night of alcohol consumption (Rusty Nail = BAD), I skipped this panel and had a nice/quiet/easy morning.
  • 11:30AM Building Buzz for Your Web Project
I (more or less) skipped this panel too (attended, but didn’t pay attention) and caught up on emails and other work-related items.
  • 02:00PM Craig Newmark Keynote Interview
The founder of Wikipedia was the “interviewer”, but I’d have rather heard more from him than listen to Craig talk about craigslist.
  • 03:30PM Creative Subplot: The Viral Edition
Originally I was just looking for a panel that was a diversion from the usual web stuff. I’m glad I chose this one for that purpose.
  • 05:00PM Design Eye for the List Guy
The panel everyone was talking about last year was a big draw this year. And rightfully so, this was THE panel to see this year.
  • 08:00PM Avalonstar Bowling Extravaganza
Team Pixelworthy (and last minute addition Tim Murtaugh) made it to the final round, but came in a close 4th to the other three teams. Some more really great people were met and overall it was a wonderfully fun event.

belated congratulations on the new site. lovely. i meant to check it out last week, but i’ve been way too busy trying to find a new apartment–which i did. it’s actually just a few blocks from your place, if i remember correctly where you live. i move in at the end of april, so be on the lookout for an invitation to some kind of “new in (this part of) philly” festivity.

Congrats on the new place Wayne! I’m over on 12th/Pine so smack dab in the middle of the “Gayborhood”. Although, I think the overall area is just called “Washington Square West”.
