Speaking at Refresh DC

Do you live in the DC area? Care to hear two gents talk about “Passionate Web Entrepreneurship (it’s not all flickrs, diggs, and basecamps)“? If so, you’re in luck!

On Thursday, October 19th (from 7:00pm - 8:30pm), Refresh DC will be holding it’s next meeting at the Motley Fool offices in Alexandria, VA. Alex Giron (of CSSBeauty fame) and myself (of AnimatedBliss fame) will be tackling the Passionate Web Entrepreneurship topic. We’ll be talking about the trials and tribulations of running a niche content-based website and the never-ending pursuit of “success”. We’ll cover planning, design, development, SEO, advertising, and a whole lot more. So, if you’ve ever been interested in starting your own website/online business, we’ll have a lot of great information, tips, advice, etc to pass along… and, hopefully, some of it will be useful ;)

On a personal note, I grew up in Leesburg, VA (~1hr west of DC) and lived in Falls Church, VA and Germantown, MD for a few years after college. So, this is a bit of a homecoming for me. Which translates into “Don’t let me down DC… come out and say hi”. Please?
