Monetizing Your Traffic

What You Can Expect

Having run AnimatedBliss.com for the past five years or so, I have a pretty good understanding of how much money I’m able to make online. I also have a pretty good understanding of how much money OTHER people are able to make online. This comes from various forum posts and conversations I’ve had with my fellow webmasters.

With that in mind, I’ve come up with a pretty simple formula you can use to get an idea of how much money you can make…

Daily Traffic / 10 = Monthly Earnings

For example, if you have 2000 daily visitors, your monthly earnings should be in the $200 range. Those earnings can come from any number of places (Adsense, Amazon, Adbrite, etc). And, of course, some sites will make more …while some will make less. But, on average, that amount is a good indicator of what you can reasonably expect to make from your site.

I think your formula is not correct. I think with 2000 daily visitors you can earn MORE!

Well, I suppose it all really depends on the ad provider (or the combination), and how targeted the ads are, Lukas.

Oh…and the mindset of your audience. Animated Bliss seems like an audience already geared toward making purchases.

Oh, you definitely can make more. This formula is just an easy way to guage what’s possible. And it’s also more of an average amount, not a maximum.
